Bali Bird Park

When visiting Bali Bird Park you are entering a fascinating world of exotic sights and sounds. Hundreds of the world’s rarest and most beautiful birds greet you as you stroll through tropical gardens. The variety and radiance of Indonesian parrots will captivate and enthrall you and rare Cassowaries, Black Palm Cackatoos, Hornbills and one of the world’s largest and most varied collection of Birds of Paradise will fascinate you.

As you stroll throughout the park, your eyes will continually alight on a multitude of diverse palms and rich tropical flora. Wander through the mist-shrouded walk-in aviary, home to free flying birds in a dense rainforest setting. With the advanced nursery and fully trained staff, Bali Bird Park is a caring home for birds and an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

The park accommodates an amazing display of flora with more then 2000 tropical plants including 50 varieties of palms alone and attracting numerous butterflies.

The coolest thing about the park are the two jungle-like walk-through aviaries where you can find several exotic birds flying around so watch your head. They are very tame but not so tame that you have the time to walk over and shoot tens of pictures.

Another surprising attraction is the Toraja house where you stand eye-to-eye with several owl species such as the impressive Bubo Sumatranus and a huge Green Peacock from the island of Java.

The Bali Bird Park also has a special conservation program where they breed the endangered Bali Starling, Pesquet’s Parrot and several Macaws. The Bali Starling will eventually be released into the wild while the others will stay at the park.

You can have a look at the young ones in the incubators at the nursery home and laboratory of the park.
